John Belushi, 1949 – 1982

It was 25 years ago today (March 5) that television and film star John Belushi died at the Chateau Marmont of a drug overdose. This is the original Variety story that ran on that day.

Variety.com – Belushi remembered

Hardly seems like 25 years. I do wonder what a 58 year old Jake Blues would be singing these days?

Well, Gizmo Me!

GigaOM » Gizmo 3.0, Voice for all IMs – This is in addition to the ability to link Gizmo to your Asterisk PBX.  So, you can IM and voice chat with Gtalk, Yahoo, MSN Live users, IM with Jabber users, and enjopy the wide world of SIP.  Sounds good to me.

A New Berkman Center Media Library?

Scripting News: 2/24/2007 – Dave links to an interesting presentation by Charlie Nesson looking to find a champion for an overhaul of the Berkman Center Media Library.  Seems like a job for cchost. At the very least, it could be subjected to something like I did for AALS 2007 podcasts which just uses a couple of open source libraries to juice things up.  Takes no time at all.

This the personal blog of Elmer Masters. I’ve been blogging since October 2000, mostly for my own amusement. I am a web developer, IT manager, and occasional consultant. I’ve managed IT departments at a couple of law schools, and started my professional career as a reference law librarian while working my way through law school. These days I’m the chief technologist for a consortium of US law schools. Opinions expressed here are my own and not those of my employer.
